Ian Harries

Ian's biography

Ian has a degree in Housing from Sheffied Halam University and bagan his career with Nottingham City Council as a management trainee.

During his early career Ian became a Priority Estates Project Manager working on severly deprived estates to provide efficient and effective local housing services by working in close partnership with local communities.

He later became a Neigbourhood Manager, District Manager, Principal Management Officer and then Director of Housing.

Since becoming a consultant, he has undertaken a wide variety of assignments including Audit Commission inspection; Housing Corporation training; consultancy and assessments for Government departments, Regional Housing Bodies and pre-inspection audits and mock inspections for local authorities and housing associations and consultancy and validation work for Housemark. 

Recent clients have achieved a 2 star and excellent prospects and a 3 star and excellent prospects rating from the Audit Commission

Relevant experience includes:

• Inspection and Inpsection Support since 2002
• Training and development of staff and tenants
• Service improvement and performance management of orgaisations to 3^
• Policy and Strategy Development for housing organisations, regional bodies and government departments
